Homebrew System of the month

First off, I would like to thank Travis from CNYBrew.com for sharing his brewing setup. I think that this should encourage anyone that is thinking about going all-grain to make the switch. Here is a few pics of his setup along with some links about how he converted a keg for brewing.

Travis, thanks for all of the info about your brewing setup. You did an awesome job making everything, it's very similar to my setup at home that I've used for years. Thanks man.

I am glad you like it. It's a work in progress. I am a cheap guy and when I was looking into building a lot of this stuff, I found some "hit or miss" instructions. This was my attempt at "how to follow those instructions".

The only thing I would suggest as I have done in the past is if you are going to make an investment into all grain, buy bigger than you are currently brewing. Once you get into it, you'll quickly realize that with the decreased cost in supplies, it's tempting to scale up and you'll be happy you have the space.

Oh and have someone torch off the top of the keg (AFTER YOU RELEASE ALL THE PRESSURE!!!) as opposed to the sawing method I used, it sucks.

Cheers!

You all grain guys won't stop until you've converted us all! I can hear you evil laugh as you posted this. Damn you!

;-) Thanks Travis, E and Freak

If I keep running out of beer I may need to scale up. This would be a great buying opportunity for Adam. He He! Just kidding. Although E and I have some things in the works that may require a larger system. It's a pipe dream but it could happen. We will keep you posted.

Freak Out!

Hey E! What ever happened to the "Brew Mate" of the month idea? We need to get some naked chics to pose in the brewery!
